PASADENA, Calif. (KABC) — A wild police chase stretched from the West Valley to Pasadena on Sunday night — and the driver even stopped for gas in the middle of the chase.
A suspected DUI driver led California Highway Patrol on a high-speed chase in a maroon Dodge Charger with blacked-out windows and no headlights.
At certain points, the chase reached speeds of more than 130 miles per hour. AIR7 lost sight of the driver for periods of time due to the excessive speed.
At one point, the driver managed to pull off the freeway and into a gas station, pumping several gallons of gas before jumping back on the freeway.
The chase eventually came to an end near Del Monte Street and Forest Avenue in Pasadena, when the driver and two passengers jumped out and tried to make a run for it.
All three were taken into custody.
A different reckless driver led police on a chase around the West Valley on Sunday night.
AIR7 was overhead as the driver and passenger were taken into custody.
The pursuit started near Van Nuys Airport with the car speeding around 45 miles per hour.
Both the driver and passenger tried to run from police in Chatsworth, but were both arrested.
